7 Things - September Edition

I can't believe its that time already! August is almost over and I've achieved 6 of my 7 goals (apparently not spending money is pretty impossible for me at the moment, so 7/7 wasn't possible!) for this month! YAY! Now, here's my seven goals for this month:

1. Eat Healthily - Whether its adding a salad with my dinner, having healthy snacks between meals or just making healthy decisions at the supermarket, I want to try and eat a little healthier this month. It gives you a lot more energy being healthy and just makes you feel a lot better in yourself so hopefully I'll be able to keep that up!

2. Use my diary efficiently - With so much going on over the next academic year, staying organised is a top priority. I have brought a cute diary from Paperchase to help with this - its big so I won't loose it, pretty, and there's plenty of room to write everything I'm doing down. Knowing when I have a day-off and when important events are occurring and having them all stored in my diary will hopefully keep me less stressed as its one less thing to worry about.

3. Make the best of spare time -  Ensuring I make time to spend with my family and friends will help de-stress me too. So keeping in contact with old university friends, making more friends in my class and spending my spare time with my family will help keep my relaxed... I hope!

4. Go Out of My Comfort Zone - I think it can be so easy sometimes to stay in a routine and not try anything new. So this month, I want to do some things that stretch me and take me out of my comfort zone - it'll be nice to experience new things!

5. Accessorize - I got a beautiful Rotary gold watch from my parents and a Pandora Bracelet from my aunts for my 21st Birthday and I want to make sure I wear them as often as possible. Not just because I love them but because by wearing them, I feel like it shows those who brought them, just how grateful I am for recieving them. I've also got tonnes of other necklaces and bracelets and rings that its fun to dig out and rock on occasion, so I'll try and accessorize more often.

6. Try Some New Foods - Kind of part of the 'eat healthier' part of my 7, but I want to try some new things too! Whether its new ingredients or  recipes, its nice to try new things, especially food!

7. Use Pinterest - I've recently joined Pinterest and have started fashion, beauty and inspiration boards. I want to start more boards this month, pin more images and hopefully use the site regularly as it can be so inspiring! If you want to check out my boards click here!

7 Things (August Edition)

In June, I participated in Sprinkle of Glitter's 7 Things feature (check it out here)! Of the seven goals I set myself, I reached 5 of them quite successfully so I figured I would join in this month too! Its been a great experience and I especially enjoyed reading other people's goals and seeing how they did - its helped me find a few great fashion blogs which I've now followed! If you're thinking of having a go, I would definately advise it!

Below are the seven things which I hope to achieve in the month of August! I'd love to hear your own personal goals in the comments below and will of course let you know how I get on with my goals at the end of the month!

1. Organise Fun Things To Look Forward To! - Its going to be a tough year and I think that having events to look forward to really gets you through the tougher times. I've already organised a trip to the WB Harry Potter Tour in London at the end of September and I'm hoping to organise more sporadically throughout the year ahead.

2. Read More -  I am mid re-reading the Harry Potter series (currently on Prisoner of Azkaban) - I do it every so often because I just find the books a fun and fascinating read even though I've read them lots of times before! I want to continue doing this and maybe even finish the series!

3. Absorb the Olympics - I absolutely love watching the Olympics and wish I could be up in London to absorb the atmosphere. So far, I have watched every Team GB medal be handed out and I'm hoping to continue with that by watching as much of the London 2012 Olympic Games as possible!

4. Be Positive - Its easy to slip into negativity (especially when there are negative people around you). Its nice to see the best in everything - it makes you feel a whole lot more positive yourself and the world seems quite a lot less dark. This month I want to not let the negativity around me get me down, and stay upbeat!

5. Blog Regularly - I've kind of let regular blogging slip this month, so in August, I hope to blog regularly - not everyday but with a regular pattern in order to keep you visitors coming back and give myself a fun creative outlet!

6. Spend Sensibly - Not going to be earning too much next year as I'll be working hard at school, so I need to be a bit pithy with my money and not splurge too much! This goal is the simplest but also the hardest for me to stick too - I'm a shop-a-holic!

7. Enjoy August - With a busy next academic year, I really want to enjoy this last month and a half of freedom! So I just want to take time to do things for me!

'7 Things' - June Edition

I thought I'd try something new on my blog this month! Sprinkle Of Glitter started these posts a few weeks ago and they've inspired her to do goals she's been wanting to reach for a long time, so I thought I'd give it a try too.

Below are the seven things which I hope to achieve in the month of June - I know there's not too long left of this month but it will at least mean that I have to be a  bit more determined and get everything done in less time.

1. Be Healthy - Whether its going out for a bike ride or having a salad with my dinner, I want to try and be a little more healthy. I'm not going to diet because dieting as a fad doesn't work but I'm going to try and introduce more vegetables to my meals and get myself moving.

2. Keep Blogging -
Now I've completed my six months of blogging everyday, it would be easy to give up and never blog again or blog randomly with no pattern or regularity, so I'm going to try and consistently blog for the rest of the month and keep my content new and interesting.

3. Don't Always Be A 'Brand Baby'-
I'm a bit of a lover of more expensive brands and often stupidly pick them over their cheaper counterparts. This month, I'll try and use some of those cheaper brands - sometimes you can discover great things in these kinds of environments - you don't always have to spend a lot of money to get a great product.

4. Stay Organised - Whether its keeping my room tidy, working through my lists of things to do or keeping up with when events and meetings are happening - I want to stay on top of my life this month! Last week, I missed a pretty huge meeting because I hadn't written it in my diary, so staying organised is key for me.

5. Experiment - I recently brought the Urban Decay Naked Palette (Check out my review HERE) which obviously wasn't cheap so I want to use it to its fullest. Some of the colours are easier to use than others, so I want to try and experiment with the palette and try and create some looks that perhaps I wouldn't have tried otherwise with colours that I haven't yet used.

6. Socialise - And I don't mean constantly go out with my friends -  I just want to make an effort to keep up with my uni friends whom have gone home after we completed our last year together.

7. Have Fun -
I've got so many fun and exciting things happening over the next few weeks and I want to make sure I enjoy them to their fullest - so my goal is to have the most fun I can and enjoy life before it changes in September.

I'd love to hear your own personal goals in the comments below and will of course let you know how I get on with my goals at the end of the month!
