Spirit Hoods: Yay or Nay?

Spirit Hoods are a Los Angeles based fashion brand which produce unique and fabulous looking hoods! My favourite thing about Spirit Hoods is the branding of the company as all the products represent difficult animals. The brand itself has the tagline:

"There is a transformation that takes place when you wear a SpiritHood. This experience is un-definable, and completely unique to you . . ." 

My favourite from the collection is the "Night Owl" design [pictured below]. The intricate yet unique fabric and layering of the individual strands replicate the animal perfectly and it seems like this particular hood would be perfect in bo-ho chic spring outfits on those blustery, sunny days. I also really love the feather logo on the reverse side. The piece is described in terms of the animal that it represents by Spirit Hoods:

The Owl is often regarded as a messenger between worlds. The Owl Spirit is at home in the night and embraces darkness to their advantage. Owls easily see through the facade to the core of things where truth lives and breathes. People with the Owl Spirit are swift and precise with their thoughts and movements. Owls are highly aware beings awake to protect that which is sacred when most of the world sleeps. 

They've been worn by the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Jessie J, Ke$ha, Justin Bieber and more so it could be argued that they're en trend, but what do you think of Spirit Hoods? The Brilliance of AllSaints

I've recently discovered the brilliance that is All Saints! If you haven't heard of them, All Saints is a UK based fashion brand for both Men and Women and is fast becoming a big player in the upper high-street. Their designs are unique and feminine with a rock chick, chic edge and I just adore so many of their pieces!

I particularly like their Spring/Summer 2012 Collection especially the tops (some of my faves are pictured above!) that All Saints describes as:

A series of directional tops including casual jersey pieces through to premium occasion embellished styles. Using the finest fabric, leather and embellishment techniques and qualities this SS12 collection encapsulates the key concepts for the season.

I am also a big fan of their range of leather jackets that All Saints describes as:

A collection of authentic biker and vintage inspired leather jackets, dresses and paneled tops, combined with signature fitted silhouettes. Using a combination of premium Italian leather, garment dyed styles and introducing new colours and vintage optics for Spring Summer 2012.
