Outfit Of The Day: Jessica Alba on August 16th

When out and about in Beverly Hills on August 16th, Jessica Alba was spotted in a pair of STUN Wayfarers, chunky silver necklace, the Kate Frances 'Evelyn' blazer, a plain black tee, Current/Elliott Star Print Skinny Jeans in a grey wash, the Cobra Society 'Tangier' bag and Givenchy Strappy Sandals in black.

The red sunglasses and bright blue blazer really bring light, life and colour into this outfit which I think it would have lacked without those two injections of colour. I really love her jeans and think they add a certain something to an outfit which is essentially made up of basics - literally anyone could rock a look like this, but the jeans give it an edge! The padding in the jacket's shoulders brings a bulkiness which is definately needed with this look as everything is skin tight - maybe this is the start of the return of the shoulder pad trend?

Professional for her business and meeting side but comfortable for her Mom side too - that's why I love Jessica's style because she knows what suits her and dresses comfortably yet stylishly to emphasize that!

Outfit Of The Day: Jessica Alba on May 21st

When out and about, running errands in Los Angeles on May 21st, Jessica Alba was spotted wearing Tory Burch Sunnies, a Genetic Denim Rocky Vest, the Heartloom Anthea Dress, a brown leather bag and sandals.

This outfit is perfect for spring/summer transition outfits because its so flexible. I love that she's sinched it in at the waist with a skinny waist belt and that she's added a burst of colour with the denim jacket - not always the easiest thing to rock. I also like how she's worn the dress itself - some celebs really don't suit maxi dresses or maxi skirts but she looks fab in this and very young!

With her hair up and the stylish handbag, she looks professional and ready for meetings whilst still being stylish and comfortable at the same time - LOVE IT!

Last Night's Looks: 2012 Met Gala Ball

Hilary Swank looked stunning in a custom Michael Kors scarlett red floorlength gown with a high neck and huge flowing skirt. She added a Michael Kors Barrel Clutch, Michael Kors ankle wrap sandals and gold Fred Leighton jewelry to complete her look. I like how the dress gives her figure such shape without it being too clingy, the fabric really makes it look elegant and adding the hair pulled to the side gives it a really fun edge!

The 2012 Met Ball was held last night (April 7th) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. So many celebrities attended the event and all of them showed their styling prowess walking the red carpet in such a variety of different designers and styles it was almost unbelievable. I've picked my four favourite looks and would love to hear yours in the comments below!

Scarlett Johansson wore a nude off-the-shoulder Dolce and Gabbana gown with embellished bodice detailing and a flowing pale pink tulle skirt. I love the cropped hair style that she's gone for here - it really suits her face shape and with the nude make-up and coral lip, it looks very natural. I also like that she's kept the jewelry and accessories to a minimum - with that amazing jeweled bodice she definately doesn't need them!

Jessica Alba looked stunning in a gold, one-shouldered Michael Kors floor length gown. She almost looks like a goddess with her tiny waist showcased in the ruched dress, paired with the bold red lips and make-up and the chunky Wilfredo Rosado accessories. I'm not sure I particularly like her hair swept to the side that much - I would like to have seen perhaps a messy up do or sleek long ponytail but this side swept hair to me just merges into one with the dress.

Camilla Belle walked the red carpet wearing a Ralph Lauren gown from their Spring 2012 Collection which she paired with Ralph Lauren heels and vintage Ralph Lauren Jewelry. This, to me, is the epitomy of a perfect vintage look - with the art deco like pattern on the dress, the beaded detail and the fact that shes slicked her hair back and gone for a dramatic dark make-up look. She literally looks like she's stepped straight out of the 20's!

Outfit Of The Day: Jessica Alba on April 2nd

Whilst enjoying a morning out in Los Angeles with her family, Jessica Alba looked fabulous dressed in blue, white and grey. Jessica wore a light wash J Brand denim jacket, grey tee, J Brand Skinny Jeans in Blue Bonnet, grey Tory Burch Ballet Flats, a white crossbody bag, Theodora and Callum Scarf and Tom Ford Sunnies.

This outfit is so simple and casual whilst still managing to look stylish. I particularly love the bold use of the blue jeans and the fun patterned scarf which really bring life to the outfit and the side braid is fun and practical for Jess as a Mom. I've been a big fan of Jessica's style for a while but I think her outfits can be very hit or miss - for me this is a definite hit.

What do you think of Jessica's outfit?

Last Night's Looks: Golden Globes

The Golden Globes Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles last night (January 15th), so I thought I would post about some of my favourite red carpet fashion from the event!

Jessica Alba chose an embellished strapless lavender gown from Gucci and added Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Bulgari diamond jewelry. This shows off her incredible figure to its absolute best with the tight figure hugging bodice matched with the short but delicate train. I also love how the embellishment is followed throughout the outfit - not just the dress. Its a very romantic, elegant look that Jessica pulls off fabulously!

Sarah Hyland went for a a figure hugging Dolce and Gabbana gown with black belt and black clutch. I adore the lace detailing of both the dress and belt as it makes the outfit look so feminine and dreamy - pairing it with that belt gives it a rockier edge which is so fun. The hair style also looks great and brings this whole elegant look together - minus the infamous wardrobe malfunction, I think it was a great pick!

As the new face of Dior, Mila Kunis chose a one shoulder Christian Dior floorlength gown and Cartier Jewelry. I love the nude inner layer of fabric which really makes the ruffling of the bodice stand out. Not all that keen on the shoulder strap (I think it would have looked great without it and with her hair down), but the  floaty skirt looks dreamy and just so fun, whilst the shape itself is wearable by so many types of figures.

Charlize Theron opted for a high-low Christian Dior gown with embellished Cartier Headband and Givenchy Heels. The ruffle in the risen skirt matched with the flowing train look stunning and I love how she's chosen to add a headband - I feel like not enough stars really use their hair to its full potential in outfits! I also like the deep V neckline - I usually HATE it in dresses but she really pulls it off well!

Looks I Love: Jessica Alba

I think this outfit is stunning. The way Jessica's hair is tussled perfectly matches the outfit and those heels are to die for. A great way to dress up an outfit is with a blazer and this one is really cute - with its angled collar and rolled up sleeves. The colour of the JBrand/City Year Jeans are great too - this whole outfit is just perfectly put together!

I love Jessica Alba's outfits- the mixture of pieces, styles, textures and trends almost always look great on her. Jessica knows how to dress in a way that's both flattering to her figure but also stylish and appropriate to the day's events, climate and trends. She's a great celebrity for wardrobe inspiration!

On this occasion, Jessica paired a basic black strapless maxi dress with a cute cropped denim jacket, Brian Atwood Heels, a pair of Ray-Ban Aviators and a Longchamp handbag. I love wearing denim jackets and leather jackets with dresses as I think it gives them a real edge and they always seem to be in style!

I love this summer/fall transition outfit that Jessica wore towards the end of September. She spiced up a dark sultry look with that fabulous button up pink print skirt - it really makes the outfit zing! And how gorgeous is Honor - ADORABLE!
