My GIY Wrap Bracelets

This summer, Ingrid (or Miss Glamorazzi on YouTube) started a series where she creates her own beauty accessories which she called GIY (Glam It Yourself). She has created bags, make-up brush holders and, in July, wrap bracelets.

Inspired (and having been hunting for some wrap bracelets I love for a few weeks), I decided to give it a go. I took a trip to Hobbycraft and purchased the different width coloured cording, closures and beads. I went for a light pink and two darker purple cords and some light purple wire for the bead bracelet, which I thought would blend together and be great for the berry tones of winter. I'd made three different style bracelets within an hour of getting home - once you've got the hang of the first knot (the light pink bracelet), the progression into the other two knots is simple! Adding the beads really attracts attention to them and its nice knowing that no one else has the wrap bracelets like yours.

What do you think of my bracelets - let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Check out the full video on how to create them yourself below and let me know if you give them a go!

Sprinkle Of Glitter - A New YouTube Discovery

I'm pretty picky about who I subscribe to on YouTube as I watch hours and hours of videos each week and try to watch every single video they put out but I'm subscribed to a huge range of channels about beauty, comedy, video games, nerdy goings-on, education, news, daily vloggers and so many more!

This weekend I discovered SprinkleOfGlitter, a "blogging vlogging Mummy, with magpie-like tendancies and a love of beauty" and instantly became hooked - in fact I'm pretty sure I've watched only her on YouTube the past couple of days as I catch-up with all of her older videos. What I love most about her is that she doesn't proclaim to be some beauty know-it-all, as some YouTubers do, she just loves glamming up and talking about it. I also like that she isn't super pretentious with her brands (something I try really hard to avoid being here on my blog) - everyone loves a bit of luxury in their lives but, as with me, she still rocks her Matalan cardigans, Collection 2000 eyeshadows and cheapy bits from Tesco's. Its nice to hear people reviewing products that I can actually afford to buy unlike some vloggers and bloggers who are reviewing products that I couldn't dream of being able to afford. Its also nice to hear all about the Mummy things (Baby Glitter is gorgeous!)... even if I am only 20 and single; and to see a beauty and fashion vlogger who, like me, isn't a size zero!

Louise is so open about products and experiences, her videos are interesting and great to watch and she's hilarious! I'm subscribed and I'm sure that you'll love Louise too! Check out her channel SprinkleOfGlitter now and her blog HERE!

HeyKayli Inspired Hair

I am a big user of YouTube and am subscribed to channels from The Moms View to KassemG, Smosh to BlueXephos - I follow gamers, comedians, daily vloggers, beauty gurus and everything in between and try to watch each of their videos when it hits my subscription box! I adapted this hairstyle from a video on the YouTube Channel HeyKayli called 'Little Girls Holiday Hair'. I may not be a little girl anymore but I loved this hairstyle and just had to give it a go.

This is a great twist on the more traditional side pony tail - it really gives your hair interest and the bottom part of hair more volume as its been twisted around through the hair. I like to double up twisting the bunch through the hair to extend the curl further around my head but I tend not to put my hair up at the front also as it doesn't really suit me. This is a super simple way to put your hair up in a stylish way and can easily be done everyday. I've worn it on nights out, for an interview and even just when I want to throw my hair up on a lazy day.

If you want to try it too, Kayli is wonderful at explaining how to do each step so check out her video for the tutorial!
