The Carmine service costs £10 per month and you get £25 to £50 worth of products in each monthly box. You receive 5 up-to-full-size products ranging from skincare, make-up, fragrance, body care to haircare, as well as information from experts as how to best use the product. You do have to pay postage and packaging on top of the monthly fee but the boxes are tailored to the likes and dislikes of each individual subscriber and you do get voucher codes and discounts on some products.
In terms of extra content, Carmine also have a blog where they post beauty news, photo and video tutorials on products in the box, interviews with stars and brands and more! This seems like it would be really useful as I'm sure there's nothing worse than receiving a product in a beauty box and not knowing what to do with it!
Glossybox provides subscribers with 5 high-end luxury miniatures of products monthly for £10 per month (plus P&P). Items include perfume, make-up and body products from more than 60 high end companies (including Yves Saint Laurent!). The brand heavily encourages visitors to review the products they recieve in their boxes on the Glossybox Website and reward it with exclusives and GlossyDots (1000 GlossyDots = 1 free Glossybox!).
Glossybox also do a men's version of their product which is released quarterly and features 7 products for £15 per box (plus P&P). Its great that one of the beauty box companies has realized that men want to get grooming products too and I hope this is successful for them!
For me, those are my favourite beauty box companies but other subscription beauty boxes that are available in the UK include:
