Wardrobe Staple: Jack Wills Lounge Shorts

I really love Jack Wills' Loungewear Collection, especially the shorts which I've been wearing for a few years now. They are the kind of shorts that I wear to bed or when I'm just relaxing in the house, but wouldn't wear out of the house, in fear of showing too much leg (Perhaps if I had skinnier legs, I would pair these with a tank top and cardi for summer days out). They are so comfortable for summer wear because they aren't designed in a way that the fabric gets in your way when you're asleep or just trying to relax.

I think these are also perfect for girly events, not just for rocking round the house in - perhaps the night before a wedding, the bride and her bridesmaids could rock these and a hoodie when they are relaxing or at a sleepover, they are a great comfortable but fun item to wear with your friends.

The shorts come in so many patterns and fabrics, and Jack Wills change up their design each season so they keep the same basic elements like the front knot, button down and Jack Wills waistband, but look unique. The pair I have are a mixture of the pairs above with a plaid pattern like the first pair, the JW print waistband like the second pair, button up feature like the third pair and bow like the forth pair.

They are pretty expensive for shorts - the current collection has these shorts retailing for between £29.50 and £34.50 - but to me, totally worth that extra few pounds because they last forever, mine are a couple of years old now and haven't worn in the slightest. They have moulded to my body shape so they don't look the same as when I brought them at the store but that's exactly why I love them and would love to buy another pair.

Check out the current collection of LoungeWear Shorts on the Jack Wills Website!

Jack Wills Autumn Term 2012 Film

Check out the Jack Wills Autumn Term 2012 film above! The videos are so romantic and quintessentially wild and British that I love them!

I am so excited for fall - I love mini dresses with thick tights or leggings; chunky boots with skinny jeans; oversized cardigans with tight tanks; and sweaters and shorts when you're chilling at home. Layering is so much fun and I think Jack Wills have got it perfect with this film - I especially love the first female outfit in the film with the chunky cardigan and printed blue and white mini dress, its exactly my style!

What are your favourite outfits from the collection? Let me know in the comments!

Jack Wills Summer 2012 Lookbook

I'm a big Jack Wills fan and although their handbook and photos can be quite controversial, they always look fabulous. The fabulously British brand have released a set of photos with lots of summer looks including rompers, dresses, sunglasses, bikinis, tees and more. Lets just hope the weather changes soon so that we can all be out looking like this in the coming months!

You can view all of the photos in the Jack Wills gallery and they are definately worth a look as, to me, they completely epitomize summer.

Wardrobe Staples: Jack Wills Stowgate Slim Leg Sweatpants

Jack Wills' sweatpants are definately a wardrobe staple for me and the Jack Wills' Stowgate Slim Leg Sweatpants are one of my favourite pairs! These sweatpants are actually from the Christmas 2010 Collection but they're still going strong - if anything they look better as now the lettering is slightly distressed.

Being a student, I spend a decent amount of time at home working in my sweats and these are one of my go-to pairs because they are just so comfortable. Although they are tagged slim leg, they are oversized and baggy in the leg, they are just cut in way that is I think is slightly more flattering than normal sweatpants. The fabric is a great quality, thick and very warm in the winter, and I feel like when I'm rocking something from Jack Wills, I fit in the university crowd perfectly!

I also like to cycle in them when I work out although they are a little big on the waist which makes them fall down, the gathered leg opening means that the bottom of the trousers don't get caught in the pedals or bike frame which is a relief when you're going a long way or on a busy road.

I would recommend that when trying on Jack Wills' sweatpants to size down (or stick with your normal size if you're in the larger end of that size) because I have found with their sweatpants that they stretch quickly and although they do shrink down in the wash, they probably wont go back to being that same tight size again.

These are my go-to lazy day sweatpants and I would highly recommend anyone thinking of purchasing a pair to go for it - since I brought mine, I haven't regretted it for a second. They are expensive (I actually got mine on the Jack Wills Outlet which saved me a lot of money) but worth every penny!

Craving: Jack Wills Birchfield Gilet

Our spring warmth seems to be over and its back to hoodies and jeans for me in the cold weather!  Onthat line, a recent craving for me is the Jack Wills Birchfield Gilet.

I'm a big fan of Jack Wills products after my sister introduced me to the company in 2009 and have since garnered a collection of T-Shirts, Shirts, Shorts, Bags, Hoodies, Sweatpants and more - I'm sure I'll do a rundown of my Jack Wills collection soon!

My sister has had this gilet for quite a few years it the colorway photographed above - its lasted brilliantly even with the heavy wear that she gives it which definitely impresses me. The hood is removable which is super practical and the faux fur from the hood is also removable so if its raining, there's no worries about ruining it! It keeps you fabulously warm, fits brilliantly and looks great on!

The only thing that keeps me from getting it is the price tag. This gilet is actually on sale at the moment with £30 off the RRP so it might be worth a look if you want something that will last a good long time and be stylish and comfy too!

Jack Wills Easter Film

On top of their seasonal collections, Jack Wills also produces smaller ranges for major University holidays. So, with Easter coming up, the brand have released their Easter film!

Based around the idea of a roadtrip, the film is set on the shores of the UK with friends frolicking, relationships budding and of course, Jack Wills clothes adorning the gorgeous models. These films are always fabulously, quintessentially British, perfectly reflect the freedom that the student life provides and are shot in a stunning way too.

I can't wait to have a look at the pieces in my local store!

Jack Wills Spring Term 2012 Film

Its time for the 2012 Spring Term Collection from Jack Wills. This term, the company have released a short film to go alongside their usual promotional material. Set on the seaside and on the water itself, the video is fun, quirky and perfectly reflects the Jack Wills I know and love!

The company also release a handbook to all those who are subscribed to it - so I'm looking forward to seeing that in my letterbox very soon! Once it arrives, I'll be sure to share my favourites from inside it as the handbooks are always inspirational in style, outfits and one-off-items! I can't wait to go in-store and browse at the new collection soon.

October Additions

Winter is fast approaching and I'm still in love with so many of my summer tops that I figured some nice cardigans might be good additions to my wardrobe this month - it means I can still wear my fave pieces without freezing on my way to uni lectures! My purchases this month are vastly different in store, quality and in price but they're all great!

During the spring and summer, I wore a New Look Black Cardigan but (as with a lot of the stuff I buy from the shop) its started to fall apart. So time for a few new cardies. I started with this Matalan Boyfriend Cardigan which I brought in both grey and black. They are stretching at the elbows and wrists pretty fast which is annoying because I like sleeves to stay skin tight but I love the buttons as they make the cardigan look unique (and perhaps not as cheap as it actually was!).

A new Jack Wills store opened in my nearby town - Chichester - so I splurged on this Kendale Classic Hoodie in Navy on the store's opening day! Its super comfy and looks great... but it was quite expensive. Jack Wills are one of the staple brands in my closet - I own hoodies, sweatpants, tops, dresses, socks, bags and more.... obsessed is a pretty accurate word! I'm so happy that there is finally a store which is within easy reach and in my go-to shopping town.

Today I went into Brighton and visited a few stores including Republic and Urban Outfitters but nothing really caught my eye. My student fees and car insurance are due in the next 2 months so I guess not spending is not necessarily a bad thing.
